Today we were doing all the filming in bath. We did two individual shoots, the first at Bath’s Royal Crescent and the second outside of the Roman Bath’s. Luckily it didn’t rain, but it remained overcast all day which meant that the locations didn’t look as photogenic as we may have pictured. If we had more time to film the insert we may have selected a different day on which to film these scenes.

Filming went very smoothly, due to the well planned roles everybody had we found there was no confusion and we were done in less than 3 hours. Unfortunately due to my Wednesday morning module I arrived half an hour after everyone else. By the point I joined the group filming was well underway. Alex and Greg were on the cameras, Gabriella was on sound, George was being floor manager and Matt, Geoffrey and Luke were being the extras in the scene. So when I arrived I took on the role of taking photographs for the “making of” project and also helped transporting all the kit.
There were some issues with the second shoot, outside of the Roman Baths, as it was busy with shoppers. There was also a busker playing guitar a short way away form our cameras so to explain the sound of it we arranged some of the shots to include him in the background. This was not ideal, but it was the best we could arrange.
The next shoot with the crew will be on Sunday in Bristol. Looking forward to it.
